At Home Photography Tips

Are you wanting to capture the memories you are making at home but you do not know where to start? I promise you do not need to be a professional photographer or have professional gear! A cell phone camera will more than get the job done. When using your cell phone try switching to portrait mode if it is available and use your body as the zoom. Also, do not worry about everyone smiling for every picture. By letting this go you will truly capture the emotion of the moment. Below are some great ideas on how to photograph the memories you are making while at home over the next few weeks.

1.Photograph The Ordinary - Whether you are cooking, baking, doing homework or playing in the rain snap away!
2. Make Your Own Photo Booth- Don’t worry about having the perfect backdrop. Have the kids design their own backdrop and pick out their outfits!
3. Family Photos - Do you have a tripod? Set up your camera on your tripod and take a family photo. If you truly want to capture life right now leave the mess and leave on the sweats.
4. No Spring Break Trip? No problem! Re-create your trip at home or pick one of your favorite places to visit!

Tip: When photographing inside your home it is best to use natural light and avoid using any overhead lights.

What are you waiting for? Grab your favorite camera and start shooting today!
