Meet Tiia

Norsym Photography has been capturing the unique personalities of kids and teens in Chicago and Denver since 2008. As a teacher and mom of two teens, Tiia has an understanding of all the stages of a kids' development, to help make them comfortable before the camera and to be able to photograph their true selves. When her 13 year old daughter entered the world of the performing arts in the last 5 years, headshots for young actors has become a passion.

How It Works

Schedule Your Shoot

Book one of our sessions via the booking link or submit an inquiry form if you'd like to discuss what session will be the best fit. We'll reach out learn more about your needs and to select a date and time. We have weekday and weekend options.

The Session

Your session will take place at one of our studio locations, on-location indoors, outdoors, or a combination of these. We will start with a wardrobe consultation. During the session we will capture a variety of looks (outfits/backgrounds) depending on the session package that you chose.

After the Shoot

Within one week you will receive an online gallery of your image proofs to choose from (typically 30-50 images). After choosing your favorites, your final, retouched high-resolution digital files will be ready within 5-7 days.

Important Photo Day Notes!

-Relax and let's have fun!
-Please bring several outfits in a variety of colors that you think bring out your eyes and compliment your skin tone.
-Avoid distracting prints and logos.
-Bring a layering option, such as a jean jacket or scarf.
-If you choose to get hair and makeup done before the session, please ensure that you maintain a natural look as agents want to see YOU!

What to wear?

We recommend wearing solid colors and avoiding busy patterns. Dress your young performer in a way that represents that represents their personality and compliments their eyes and skin tone.

How to prepare?

Make sure your child is well-rested and hydrated before the session. Minimal to no makeup is recommended for youth actor's headshots and style hair as you would typically wear it. Please inquire about adding professional hair and makeup.

How long is it?

Depending on the session you choose, we'll be together from 30 minutes up to an hour and a half, allowing enough time for the wardrobe and background consultation, outfit changes and different backdrops.

How do I book?

Can I reschedule?

We appreciate 48 hours of advance notice but understand that conflicts do arise, such as illness. We'll be happy to work with you to reschedule. If we have planned an outdoor session and it is raining or snowing, then we are happy to find a new date. We do not offer refunds.
